The reptile was successfully captured by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) before it could cause harm.

The incident was reported at around 6.50am by a teacher, Cikgu Juti, who contacted APM Spaoh District for immediate assistance. Concerned for his safety, he requested help after spotting the large snake inside the quarters.

Responding swiftly, three members of the APM Spaoh Alpha Squad arrived at the scene equipped with snake-catching gear.

Upon inspection, the team found the snake coiled around a chair in the living room. Using the pinning method, the officers managed to secure the reptile without injuring it.

The snake was later transported to the Spaoh District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) for further handling in accordance with agency procedures.

APM confirmed that the operation was completed smoothly, with no injuries reported among residents or personnel. Officials reminded the public not to attempt catching snakes or other dangerous wildlife on their own.

Instead, residents are advised to contact emergency services via the 999 hotline or report directly to the nearest PKOD for assistance. APM Spaoh reiterated its commitment to public safety under its motto “Ready, Fast, With Integrity”.

The agency emphasised that its trained personnel are prepared to respond to wildlife emergencies, ensuring both community safety and humane treatment of animals.

The incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and the role of emergency services in managing unexpected encounters with wildlife.

Residents were reassured that the authorities remain ready to act promptly in safeguarding lives and property.

For emergencies, the public may contact the Spaoh District APM at 083-473006 or dial 999 for immediate response.
