Shocking Discovery: Human Skull and Bones Found on Miri-Bintulu Road

MIRI (Dec 13): A chilling discovery was made at Mile 7 along the Miri-Bintulu Road yesterday evening. A man stumbled upon a skull and fragments of bones, believed to be human remains, hidden in the bushes around 5pm.

Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed that the man lodged a police report at 9pm, prompting immediate investigation.

“Initial investigations revealed several fragments of bones suspected to be human remains. No personal identification documents were found at the site, making it impossible to determine the identity at this time,” Alexson said.

Adding to the mystery, the preliminary investigation found no evidence of criminal activity at the scene. Despite this, authorities are treating the case with urgency and sensitivity.

Police are calling for public assistance to help resolve this case. Anyone with information, or those who have missing family members, relatives, or friends, are urged to contact the nearest police station. Alternatively, they can reach out to Miri police directly at 085-433730.

The gruesome find has sent shockwaves through the local community, sparking concern and speculation. While investigations are ongoing, the public is advised to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors and to allow the authorities to carry out their duties.
