Now in its eighth edition, the festival continues to gain momentum as one of Asia’s largest and most popular country music events. Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh, speaking at the festival’s media conference on Saturday, said the festival has grown significantly over the years, attracting local and international visitors alike.

“This year’s edition will feature 11 musical acts from Sarawak and beyond, with three full days of back-to-back performances, all designed to create a vibrant and unforgettable experience,” he said.

The event will also be accompanied by three major celebrations, including:

  • The inauguration of Siniawan Town by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg,
  • The anniversary celebration of Siniawan Village, established in 1840,
  • And the 50th anniversary of the Siniawan Street Night Market, now a thriving tourism hub.

Miro emphasised that beyond the music, the festival is a strategic platform to highlight Siniawan’s unique heritage and further establish its identity as a cultural tourism destination.

“We want this festival to uplift country music and, more importantly, to showcase Siniawan’s charm and diversity to the world,” he added.

The Siniawan Country Music Festival 2025 is expected to draw thousands of visitors, boosting tourism and local business while celebrating the soul of Sarawak’s countryside.
