SIBU – A preliminary verification visit for the 2025 National Ambassador Final Assessment was conducted at SMK Lanang on 23 April 2026, marking an important step in evaluating participants’ achievements at the national level.
The visit formed part of the wider assessment and verification process, designed to ensure transparency and systematic evaluation.
It also provided an opportunity to review the school’s integration of technology and best practices in digital education.
Officers from the Sarawak State Education Department’s Education Resources and Technology Sector (SSTP) and the Sibu District Education Office were present to oversee the process.
Among those involved were Ms Grace anak Lungkong, Ms Tan Mary, and Ms Mary Ann Serdina from SSTP JPN Sarawak, alongside Mr Sean Chen Tieu Wei from USTP PPD Sibu.
The assessment focused on how effectively schools are adopting digital tools and innovative teaching methods.
SMK Lanang’s efforts in embedding technology into classroom learning were highlighted as part of the evaluation, with the school aiming to secure the Secondary School Gold Award under the 2025 Digital Utilisation Technology Award.
The National Ambassador programme is a key initiative to recognise schools that demonstrate excellence in digital education.
It encourages institutions to embrace modern teaching practices, enhance student engagement, and prepare learners for future challenges in a technology-driven environment.
Officials noted that the verification process is essential to ensure fairness and credibility in the final assessment.
