SONG – Civil Defence personnel in Song successfully captured a snake following an emergency call from the public on Thursday morning.
The Song District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received the alert regarding a snake sighting at Jalan Takan, prompting the immediate mobilisation of the MyASPA-O Charlie squad. Upon arrival, the team began searching the area identified by the complainant.
The operation led to the discovery of a small tedung snake, roughly the size of a human thumb. Using pinching and snaring techniques, the squad managed to secure the reptile without incident.
Officials confirmed that the capture was carried out safely, with no injuries reported among officers or members of the public. The snake was contained and removed from the area to prevent further risk.
Local authorities emphasised the importance of contacting emergency services when encountering potentially dangerous wildlife.
