The aid was delivered through the collaborative efforts of the Sri Aman District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) and the Social Welfare Department (JKM), as part of a swift initiative to ease the burden faced by residents.

Sri Aman District Officer Shariff Bujang confirmed that 19 official requests for water assistance had been received so far, with more distributions planned in stages in coordination with all relevant agencies.

“Our agencies under JPBD are always on alert and ready to be mobilised in the event of emergencies or urgent needs. Regular reports from departments allow us to monitor the situation effectively,” said Shariff.

He also reminded residents to refrain from open burning due to the dry conditions and heightened risk of wildfires and haze.
