KUCHING, 20 February – The Tai Tai Restaurant in Kuching was the setting for a memorable evening as His Excellency Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi Bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Binti Mohd. Sanusi, attended a special dinner hosted by YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Khairuddin Ab. Hamid, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS), and his wife, Datin Dayang Mariani Abang Zain.

One of the highlights of the evening was the much-anticipated fish head curry, specially prepared by Tai Tai Restaurant’s owner and Head Chef, Michelle. Keeping her promise to serve this signature dish for Tun Pehin Sri, she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, saying,

“Thank God for another great honour to celebrate YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Khairuddin’s 79th birthday and a get-together with Datin Dayang Mariani and Tun Pehin Sri. My promise of fish head curry fulfilled for Tun Pehin Sri!”
