Upon arrival, they were warmly received by the restaurant’s owner, Chef Michelle Zarah, and her team. The friendly welcome set the tone for a delightful dining experience in one of Kuching’s most unique culinary destinations.

The Tai Tai Restaurant is well-known for serving a fusion of Western, Asian, European, and local flavours. Guests can savour signature dishes such as bouillabaisse, chicken cordon bleu, ribeye steak, and an array of soups, alongside decadent desserts like crème brûlée.

The restaurant itself is housed in a beautifully restored colonial-era building dating back to the time of Rajah Brooke. Its interior blends antique heritage pieces with modern elements, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxing—perfect for an intimate family gathering.

Throughout the evening, TYT Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan expressed their appreciation for the restaurant’s warm hospitality and the exceptional quality of its dishes. The couple remarked that the service was attentive and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented.

Before departing, TYT Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan took the time to pose for photographs with Chef Michelle and several customers, leaving behind cherished memories for all in attendance. — TYT Sarawak
