MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Mukah responded to an emergency case during the Mukah Kaul Festival on Sunday, 26 April 2026, after receiving a call from the police regarding a teenage girl who had fallen ill.
The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) was alerted to the situation, which involved a female victim inside the festival staff tent. She was reported to be suffering from stomach and gastric pain.
APM members quickly arrived at the scene and assisted in carrying the victim into an ambulance. She was then transported to Mukah Hospital for further medical treatment.
Authorities emphasised that the swift response was part of their ongoing commitment to ensuring public safety during large-scale community events.
The Mukah Kaul Festival, which attracts significant crowds each year, requires close coordination between agencies to manage health and safety concerns effectively.
The incident highlighted the importance of having emergency services on standby during festivals and gatherings.
