KUCHING — His Eminence Tengku Arif Temenggong Tengku Fahad Mua’adzam Shah Ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah today paid a courtesy visit to InvestSarawak, marking a key engagement to explore Sarawak’s robust economic potential and avenues for strategic partnerships.

The delegation was warmly received by InvestSarawak Chief Executive Officer Timothy Ong Wye Ern, who provided an in-depth briefing on the state’s investment ecosystem, core development sectors, and the agency’s role under the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

Tengku Fahad lauded Sarawak’s bold development vision and praised InvestSarawak’s function as a central platform for facilitating impactful investments and fostering regional economic cooperation.

The visit enabled a constructive exchange of views on opportunities for synergy, especially in emerging sectors such as:

  • Green and renewable energy,
  • Digital economy,
  • Infrastructure development, and
  • High-value manufacturing.

These discussions aligned with Sarawak’s aspirations to position itself as a leading regional investment hub.

Both parties underscored their mutual commitment to fostering long-term strategic relationships that would support inclusive and sustainable economic growth throughout the state and beyond.

Also present during the meeting were Dato’ Setia Pahlawan Tengku Dato’ Indera Aidy Ahmad Shah and InvestSarawak Investment Manager Bede Hong Teck Wee.

The visit concluded with hopes of further collaboration that could contribute to Sarawak’s transformation agenda and Malaysia’s broader economic ambitions.
