During his victory celebration in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump praised Wiles for her instrumental role in his campaign, calling her “tough, smart, innovative” and “universally admired and respected.” Trump affectionately referred to her as “the ice baby,” a nod to her calm demeanor under pressure. “She likes to stay in the background, but she’s not in the background,” he said.

A Proven GOP Operative

Wiles, who has served as a senior adviser and campaign co-chair for Trump alongside Chris LaCivita, brings decades of political experience. Her career highlights include working as a campaign scheduler for former President Ronald Reagan in 1980 and managing key campaigns, such as Rick Scott’s successful 2010 Florida gubernatorial run. Wiles also played a pivotal role in Trump’s Florida campaigns in 2016 and 2020, cementing her reputation as a strategic powerhouse.

Strong Endorsements

Veteran GOP strategist John Brabender hailed Wiles as the ideal choice, emphasizing her unmatched relationship with Trump and her dedication to supporting his agenda. “There’s not a better choice than Susie Wiles for White House chief of staff,” Brabender stated. “She has no other agenda than helping the president help people.”

Brabender also highlighted Wiles’ high standards for staff selection, ensuring excellence within the White House team.

A New Era for Leadership

Wiles’ appointment marks a significant moment in American politics, breaking barriers as the first woman to hold the role of White House chief of staff. Trump expressed confidence in her ability to lead, saying, “I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, once speculated as a contender for the position, confirmed he was not interested, paving the way for Wiles’ historic role.

As Wiles prepares to step into her new position, political observers are optimistic about her leadership, which is expected to bring discipline, innovation, and a focus on achieving the administration’s goals.
