Theft Discovered During Routine Inspection

The incident came to light on the morning of 21 February, around 8:00 AM, when the shop owner noticed something was amiss while inspecting a Toyota Hilux used for business operations. Two units of UTP network cables, worth approximately RM2,526, were found missing.

Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, it was revealed that a man had gained entry into the premises by climbing over the front fence. The shop owner immediately lodged a police report, prompting an investigation.

Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest

Based on the CCTV evidence, authorities swiftly acted and arrested the two suspects on Saturday afternoon. The men are now assisting in further investigations.

This case is being investigated under Section 381 of the Penal Code, which deals with theft in a building. If convicted, the suspects could face severe penalties, including jail time.

Police Urge Businesses to Strengthen Security

The police have reminded business owners and the public to stay vigilant and take extra security measures to prevent similar incidents. Installing CCTV cameras, proper lighting, and security locks can help deter criminals.

The authorities also encourage anyone with suspicious activity information to report immediately to prevent further crimes in the area.
