TYT Sarawak Performs Friday Prayers in Birthplace Sadong Jaya

SADONG JAYA, March 28 – His Excellency the Sarawak State Ruler, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, performed the Friday prayers at Masjid Darul Iman, Sadong Jaya Subdistrict. The visit was especially meaningful as Sadong Jaya, formerly known as Pendam, is his birthplace.

Accompanying him were his wife, Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, and their daughters. Also present were several distinguished guests, including Sarawak State Secretary YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure & Port Development and Sadong Jaya Assemblyman YB Datuk Ir. Aidel bin Lariwoo, and Director of JAIS YBhg. Tuan Haji Mual bin Haji Suaud.

Other notable attendees included UNIMAS Vice-Chancellor YBhg. Prof. Dr. Haji Ahmad Hata Rasit, Temenggong of Samarahan Division YBhg. Tuan Haji Chek bin Bujang, members of the mosque committee, and local residents. The Friday prayer was led by Sahibul Fadilah Ustaz Dato’ Haji Mustapha Kamal bin Ahmad Fauzi, the Grand Imam of Sarawak.

During the visit, TYT Tun Pehin Sri expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to return to his birthplace and perform prayers among the local community. He also encouraged Muslims to increase their acts of worship and prayers, especially in the final days of Ramadan, hoping that Allah SWT will accept all deeds and bless everyone’s lives.

His visit was warmly welcomed by the residents of Sadong Jaya, reflecting the strong bond between the Sarawak ruler and the local community.
