TYT Sarawak Returns Safely to Kuching After Japan Trip

TYT Sarawak Returns Safely to Kuching After Japan Trip

KUCHING, Dec 30 — His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, safely arrived in Kuching this afternoon after completing their official vacation abroad.

The couple landed at the Hornbill Skyways Terminal, Kuching International Airport, at about 4.00 pm. They were accompanied by their children following a two-week official vacation in Japan. Their arrival marked the end of a scheduled break undertaken after months of official duties and state commitments.

Upon arrival, TYT Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan were warmly received by senior officers from Astana Sarawak. The welcoming party reflected the respect and protocol accorded to the Head of State and his family, in line with long-standing traditions observed by the Sarawak state administration.

Sources close to Astana Sarawak confirmed that the official vacation was carried out smoothly, with all arrangements carefully planned to ensure safety, comfort, and proper coordination throughout the journey. The trip allowed TYT Tun Pehin Sri and his family to take a brief respite while maintaining communication on essential matters concerning the state.

Speaking after their arrival, TYT Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan expressed their sincere appreciation to all parties involved in managing the official vacation. They conveyed gratitude to the relevant government agencies, security teams, and supporting staff for ensuring that travel arrangements, logistics, and coordination were handled efficiently from departure until their safe return to Sarawak.

The Yang di-Pertua Negeri also noted that the smooth travel process reflected strong cooperation among all agencies involved, both locally and abroad. Such coordination, he said, is important in upholding the dignity of the state and ensuring that official responsibilities can resume without disruption.

With their return to Kuching, TYT Tun Pehin Sri is expected to continue carrying out his official duties as the Head of State. Several state engagements and ceremonial functions are anticipated in the coming days, in line with Sarawak’s ongoing administrative and community activities as the year draws to a close.

The safe return of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri and his family was welcomed by many, as it signals continuity in leadership and stability in the state’s governance. Their presence once again at Astana Sarawak underscores the importance of tradition, duty, and service that remain central to Sarawak’s administration.
