Woman Detained Over Suspected Stabbing of Husband in Kota Samarahan

KOTA SAMARAHAN – Police have detained a 31-year-old woman following an incident in which her husband was seriously injured during a domestic dispute in Kota Samarahan on 22 June 2026.

The confrontation, which took place in the afternoon, resulted in the man sustaining a severe stomach wound after being stabbed with a knife.

Officers from the Crime Prevention Patrol (RCJ) of the Kota Samarahan Police Station responded swiftly after receiving reports of the incident.

The suspect, identified as an Iban woman, was later found at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kota Samarahan, where she sought medical treatment for an injury to her right eyebrow.

Once treated, she was escorted to the Kota Samarahan Police Station and subsequently detained to assist with investigations.

Police confirmed that a blue helmet was seized during the arrest, which may form part of the ongoing inquiry.
