The incident involved a worker who sustained head injuries and a broken left ankle. Upon arrival, APM members provided immediate first aid before transporting the victim to Serian Hospital for further medical treatment.

According to APM Serian, four personnel were deployed to the scene to carry out emergency assistance operations. After completing their duties, the team returned safely to the Serian Police Station.

Workplace accidents remain a concern across Sarawak, with authorities emphasising the importance of safety measures and rapid response to minimise risks.

Injuries such as fractures and head trauma can have serious consequences if not treated promptly, making the role of emergency responders vital in ensuring victims receive timely care.

Local authorities continue to remind employers and workers to prioritise safety protocols, particularly in industries involving heavy machinery or hazardous environments.

Regular training, protective equipment, and awareness campaigns are seen as key strategies to reduce the likelihood of accidents.

APM Serian reaffirmed its commitment to public safety, highlighting its readiness to respond to emergencies across the district.

The agency encourages the public to report incidents quickly, as early intervention can significantly improve outcomes for victims.

The case at Petros Tarat underscores the importance of community vigilance and the effectiveness of coordinated emergency response.

With continued cooperation between residents, employers, and authorities, Serian aims to strengthen workplace safety standards and reduce accident rates.
