Young Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Jalan Song, Kuching

KUCHING, Feb 3 – A 25-year-old man suffered minor head injuries following a collision between a lorry and a car at Jalan Song this afternoon.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call regarding the accident at 3.35pm. Firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Car Driver Trapped in Vehicle

Upon arrival, rescue personnel discovered that the accident involved a lorry and a car. The car driver, a 25-year-old man, was found trapped inside his vehicle with minor head injuries.

Meanwhile, the lorry driver escaped unhurt.

“Firefighters used special rescue tools to extricate the injured driver from the vehicle before handing him over to the Health Ministry’s medical team for treatment,” a Bomba spokesperson stated.

Safety Reminders for Road Users

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while driving, especially during peak hours. Accidents on busy roads like Jalan Song can lead to severe injuries or traffic congestion.

As investigations into the cause of the accident continue, road users are reminded to adhere to speed limits, avoid distractions, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
