8th PASC Inter-Primary Swimming Competition 2025

KUCHING, 28 April 2025 — The 8th PASC Inter-Primary School Swimming Competition 2025 made a big splash, celebrating young talents from across Sarawak. Held at the PASC pool, this year’s competition was extra special, as it welcomed participants from all primary schools throughout the state for the very first time.

The event was officially launched this morning by Kuching City Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, who represented the Guest of Honour, Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian. Joining him were Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC) President Tan Kun Gee, PASC Advisor Coach Voon Yong Hui, Kuching Amateur Swimming Association (KASA) President Sam Chong Ted Sen, Sibu Amateur Swimming Association (SASA) President Joseph Ung Chung Sung, and Miri Amateur Swimming Association (MASA) Vice President Amy Wong.

The atmosphere was lively and full of excitement as 265 swimmers from 34 primary schools took to the water, showcasing months of hard work and dedication. The competition was not just about chasing medals — it was about building friendships, displaying sportsmanship, and celebrating the love for swimming.

The Closing Ceremony and Prize Presentation were graced by Senator Dato Ahmad Bin Dato Sri Hj Ibrahim, who handed out the prizes alongside PASC President Tan Kun Gee and other respected leaders.

In a thrilling announcement, Lodge School was crowned Champion School of the 2025 competition, earning top honours among tough competitors. A huge congratulations to all winners for their remarkable performances, and a heartfelt thank you to all participants, coaches, parents, and supporters who made this event a huge success.

PASC Power Aquatics Swimming Club extends their deepest appreciation for the strong turnout and looks forward to an even bigger event next year. Here’s to nurturing the next generation of swimming stars!
