Sarawak Chief Executive Welcomes PINTA Delegation to Strengthen Tahfiz Education

KUCHING, 19 November The Chief Executive of Sarawak, His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi Bin Tuanku Jaafar, received a courtesy visit from the Sarawak National Association of Quran Tahfiz Institutions (PINTA) delegation at the Sheraton Hotel’s Meeting Room.

The delegation, led by PINTA Sarawak Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Saifullah Bin Bujang, was accompanied by several key figures, including Syariah Consultative Expert from JAIS, YBhg. Datu Haji Khalidi Bin Ibrahim; Deputy Chairman, Tuan Haji Affendi Bin Julaihi; Secretary, Tuan Haji Suhaimi Suhaili; Deputy Secretary, Tuan Haji Daud Sulaiman, and other committee members.

Strengthening Tahfiz Education in Sarawak

The visit aimed to introduce PINTA’s leadership to Tun Pehin Sri and discuss the various challenges faced by private tahfiz institutions across Sarawak. The delegation also shared insights on strategies to enhance the tahfiz education system, ensuring better management and academic quality for students.

During the discussion, Tun Pehin Sri acknowledged PINTA’s crucial role in uplifting tahfiz institutions and emphasized the significance of Islamic education in shaping a knowledgeable and ethical society. He expressed his support for PINTA’s efforts and hoped for continued cooperation from all sectors to strengthen the tahfiz education landscape in the state.

Commitment to Excellence in Religious Education

Tun Pehin Sri highlighted the need for a structured approach in developing tahfiz institutions, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education that integrates religious knowledge with essential life skills. He encouraged PINTA to engage with relevant stakeholders to secure better resources and support for tahfiz schools in Sarawak.
