Juma’ani’s Sentuhan Kasih Spreads Raya Joy to Sarawakian OKU in Klang Valley

KUALA LUMPUR – Sarawak Women’s MAKSAK Advisor, YABhg. Puan Sri Datuk Amar Hajjah Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang, graced the Sentuhan Kasih Juma’ani program today, completing the distribution of Raya duit and Hari Raya biscuits to the disabled community and underprivileged groups in the Klang Valley.

The welfare program, jointly organized by the Sarawak Foundation and Sarawak Women’s Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK), benefited 50 Sarawakians residing in the Klang Valley. Among the recipients were 47 individuals with disabilities (OKU) and three hospital patients seeking treatment in Kuala Lumpur.

The Sentuhan Kasih Juma’ani program is an annual Ramadhan charity initiative by Sarawak Women’s MAKSAK and the Sarawak Foundation, with support from the Sarawak Liaison Office Kuala Lumpur. This heartfelt effort aims to uplift Sarawakian communities residing outside the state by providing essential aid and festive cheer.

In attendance were several prominent figures, including Sarawak Foundation Director Datu Mersal Abang Rosli and his wife, Datin Noraini Adenan. Also present were Datin Daisy Dayus (Chairman of the Sarawak Women’s Welfare Bureau), Datin Sri Haizan Ibrahim (Deputy Chairman), and Datin Fauziah Mardiana Sepawi (Head of the Sarawak Women’s Education Bureau). The event was further supported by Norhayati Mornie, Honorary Secretary of the Sarawak Women’s Welfare Bureau.

Through this initiative, Sarawak Women’s MAKSAK continues to demonstrate its commitment to social welfare, ensuring that no Sarawakian in need is forgotten, even beyond the borders of their home state. – Sarawakku
