Malaysia Secures Top 5 Spot in Prestigious Sanremo Junior World Finals

Sanremo, Italy Young Malaysian talent Taylor Louise has made the nation proud by securing a place in the Top 5 at the 16th Edition of the Sanremo Junior World Finals 2025. Competing in the highly competitive 10-12 years old category, Taylor was awarded the prestigious World Finals Diploma and a Special Mention from the Sanremo Junior Committee and Jury.

With over 1,000 young vocalists worldwide vying for a spot in the finals, Taylor’s achievement is a testament to her passion, dedication, and musical talent. Her success has placed Malaysia on the global stage, showcasing the country’s rising young stars in the international music scene.

Taylor’s Emotional Journey in Sanremo

Speaking about her journey, Taylor expressed deep gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout the competition.

“I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. Representing Malaysia at Sanremo has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Receiving the Special Mention award is a great honor, and it has inspired me to keep growing as an artist,” said Taylor.

Adding to her success, Taylor has received an official invitation to perform at the Macedonia International Music Festival 2025. This special recognition was presented to her by Mr. Toni Aleksovki, the Festival Director. Malaysia is among only seven countries selected for this prestigious invitation, further solidifying Taylor’s position as a rising star in the global music industry.

Heartfelt Thanks to Supporters

Taylor extended her gratitude to her fellow Sarawakians and Malaysians for their unwavering support and encouragement.

“Even though I didn’t achieve a higher placement, I am determined to keep improving and making my country proud. Every moment on that stage was for Sarawak and Malaysia,” she shared.

She also gave a special mention to her father for sewing the beautiful dress she wore for the competition, and to her mentor, Teacher Sabrina, for her guidance and belief in her abilities. Taylor also expressed her sincere appreciation to YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts, for his encouragement and support.

“To all the winners of the Sanremo Junior World Finals, congratulations! Your talent and achievements inspire me to strive for excellence. I am looking forward to growing, improving, and continuing my journey in music,” Taylor concluded.
