This highly anticipated event sees participation from over 250 Muaythai fighters, proudly representing clubs from across Malaysia — a strong indication of the growing popularity and support for the traditional combat sport.

This year’s edition promises high-octane action with 130 Muaysport category bouts and 16 Superfight Pro fights lined up to thrill fans. The competition is scheduled to take place over two days — 2 and 3 May — turning Tebingan Kuching into a centre of martial arts excellence and international camaraderie.

Countries that have confirmed their participation include Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Yemen, and Iran, alongside the host nation Malaysia. This global involvement marks a significant milestone in promoting Muaythai not just as a sport, but also as a platform for cultural exchange and sports diplomacy.

Also in attendance were Her Excellency Datu Sherrina binti Hussaini, Permanent Secretary of the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts, Encik Ramzi bin Abdillah, Director of DBKU, Encik Jumaat bin Ibrahim, President of Sarawak State Muaythai, and Encik Ramli bin Omar, Head of Development and Community Services, DBKU.

The championship reflects Sarawak’s continued commitment to supporting youth development, healthy lifestyles, and international sports networking. It’s more than just a fight — it’s a celebration of tradition, discipline, and regional unity.
