KUCHING, 4 June – His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, had a relaxing and heartwarming breakfast with his family at Tandoori Palace Restaurant along Jalan Tun Jugah, Kuching, this morning at 9.00 am.
Accompanied by his beloved wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, the TYT was seen in good spirits, enjoying the local hospitality and North Indian cuisine served at the popular eatery. Joining them were their children — Sharifah Fariah, Sharifah Nong Jasima and her husband Hakeem, as well as Tasneem.

The restaurant’s Manager, Mr. Saharuk Khan, personally welcomed the distinguished guests upon arrival. Their presence was a pleasant surprise to both staff and customers at the restaurant.
Also present was TYT Tun’s close friend, Dato Goh Leng Chua, along with his wife Datin Mary Goh and their children, who joined the morning gathering.
Tandoori Palace is well-known in Kuching for serving authentic North Indian cuisine, including crowd favourites like Tandoori Chicken, Naan Bread, Butter Chicken Masala, and Nasi Briyani. Vegetarian lovers are not left out with flavourful choices such as Aloo Gobi Masala, Kacang Bendi Masala, and the sweet Indian dessert Gulab Jamun.
Before heading home, TYT Tun and Toh Puan took time to interact warmly with restaurant staff and diners, posing for photos and chatting in a friendly manner — a moment many customers described as unforgettable.
Their visit not only highlighted the diverse food scene in Sarawak but also the strong bond between leaders and the rakyat. – TYT Sarawak
