KUCHING – The Sarawak Stock Trust (ASSAR) has announced a final dividend of 3 cents per unit, bringing the total dividend payout for the financial year ending 30 June 2025 to 6 cents per unit, reaffirming its position as a stable and low-risk investment vehicle for Sarawakians.
The announcement was made by Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, during the official ASSAR Dividend Announcement event held at Hikmah Exchange on Wednesday.
The dividend distribution involves a total payout of RM28.76 million, benefitting 57,870 investors across the state. The second and final distribution, following the interim dividend paid in January 2025, accounts for RM14.52 million, calculated based on unit holdings as of 30 June 2025.
Premier Abang Zohari noted that ASSAR has successfully maintained a reserve surplus of RM12 million, further reinforcing the fund’s financial sustainability. He credited this performance to prudent asset management strategies, despite ongoing market volatility.
“This reflects ASSAR’s commitment to preserving capital and delivering stable returns. With a guaranteed minimum unit price of RM1.00, it remains a safe, low-risk investment option,” he said.
During the event, the Premier also launched the ASSAR Mobile Office, a new initiative designed to bring ASSAR investment services closer to rural communities, enabling easier access without the need to visit ASSAR’s main office in Kuching.
“This mobile office will bridge the gap and ensure that more people can access investment opportunities and financial information,” he added.
The event was also attended by Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, State Attorney General Dato Sri Saferi Ali, Chairman of ASSAR Capital Group Dato Sri Wahab Dolah, and other ASSAR board members and subsidiaries.
