GAZA CITY, July 25 — The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Thursday that 89 Palestinians were killed, and 467 others wounded over the past 24 hours as Israeli military operations in the territory continued.
The ministry’s latest update brings the total death toll since the conflict began to 59,676, with more than 67,000 injured, including at least 31,924 since March 18 alone.
Aid Distribution Still Proving Deadly
Palestinians attempting to collect humanitarian aid continue to be among the dead and injured. Over the past day, nine civilians were killed and more than 45 injured in incidents linked to aid distribution.
This raises the total number of fatalities during aid collection to 1,092 deaths and over 7,320 injuries, according to the ministry.
Emergency crews are reportedly still struggling to reach many victims trapped beneath collapsed buildings or left lying in streets due to ongoing hostilities and destroyed infrastructure.
Humanitarian Conditions Worsen
The announcement comes amid a growing hunger crisis in Gaza. The UN World Food Programme warned this week that one-third of Gaza’s population has gone multiple days without eating, and nearly half a million people are now living in famine-level conditions.
Calls for a ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian access have intensified, as both food and medical aid remain severely restricted due to border closures and frequent bombardments.
