“When the Emergency Operations Team (PKO) arrived at 3.14 pm, the fire had already engulfed the entire cement house,” he said in a statement.
“Firefighters immediately began extinguishing operations using a 200-foot water stream connected to nearby fire engines and hydrants.”

Nazari added that the blaze was successfully brought under control by 3.20 pm, and the entire operation was completed at 4.30 pm after cleanup and safety inspections were carried out.

He confirmed that all occupants of the house managed to escape before the fire spread, preventing any injuries or loss of life.
“A total of eight members from the Simunjan BBP were involved in the operation, led by Senior Fire Officer I, Awang Johari,” he said.

The operation also involved support from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Sebuyau Volunteer Fire Department (PBS).

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the estimated losses incurred. Nazari reminded the public to always be alert and take preventive measures against fire hazards, especially ensuring that electrical wiring and appliances are in good condition.

He further stressed that regular checks on household electrical systems can help avoid incidents that may lead to property loss or danger to life.
