MIAMI – President Donald Trump addressed the America Business Forum at the Kaseya Centre in Downtown Miami, marking the one-year anniversary of his election victory. The two-day event gathered global business leaders, policymakers, and cultural figures, with Trump’s speech serving as a central highlight.
Arriving at Miami International Airport shortly before noon, Trump was escorted under tight security to the venue, where he spoke at 1 p.m. before returning to Washington later in the afternoon.
The event caused temporary traffic closures across Miami, with heightened security measures around the arena and airport.
In his remarks, Trump emphasised what he described as “record-setting accomplishments” in the U.S. economy since taking office in January 2025.
He pointed to declines in housing costs, deregulation, and tax reforms as evidence of progress, while also criticising Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for policies he claimed hindered growth.
Trump told the audience: “I’ve been fighting to turn around the catastrophe we’ve inherited to make America the best place on the planet to do business.”
He also underscored his administration’s focus on international trade, digital assets, and investment opportunities, framing the U.S. as a global leader in economic innovation.
The forum featured a diverse line-up of speakers, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, former Google executive Eric Schmidt, and Argentine President Javier Milei.
Sports icons such as Lionel Messi, Serena Williams, and Rafael Nadal were also listed among participants, reflecting the event’s blend of business, politics, and culture.
Observers noted that Trump’s speech sought to reassure business leaders amid voter anxiety over inflation and employment.
While celebrating economic gains, he acknowledged communication challenges, suggesting that his administration must better convey its successes to the public.
The America Business Forum partners included the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, underscoring the event’s international scope.
Discussions across the summit focused on global investment, entrepreneurship, and the intersection of business with technology and culture.
Trump’s appearance in Miami was part of what aides described as an “economic triumph tour,” aimed at reinforcing confidence in his leadership and setting the tone for the next phase of his presidency.
