KUALA LUMPUR – The official residence of the Sarawak Governor at Sri Kenny was filled with joy on 10 February 2026 as Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak and his wife celebrated their granddaughter’s third birthday.
The celebration honoured Feona Elsie Norjannah Foley, who was joined by her parents, Sharifah Nuriel Barieyah and Mr David Foley, making the evening memorable and joyful for the family.
Close relatives attended, including Sharifah Fariah’s daughters, Sharifah Nong-Jasima and her husband, Mr Muhammad Nur Hakeem. Long-time family friends, Mr Kelvin Ong, Mr Winston Lim, and Mrs Se Tho, also joined, adding warmth to the gathering.
Highlights of the celebration included guests singing “Selamat Hari Lahir” as Feona blew out her candles and cut her birthday cake. The joyful atmosphere continued as she opened her gifts, bringing smiles to everyone present.
The evening featured a prayer session led by Ustaz Haji Ahmad Zamri Shah Mohamad Jeman, Head of the Ceremonial and Protocol Section of the State Astana, seeking blessings and protection for Feona. The event concluded with a family dinner.
In their remarks, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak and his wife offered heartfelt prayers for their granddaughter, wishing her health, happiness, and a life guided by piety. They expressed hope that she would grow into a child who brings blessings to her parents and the wider family.
The celebration reflected the family’s love and unity, highlighting the importance of togetherness, gratitude, and the joy of marking milestones with loved ones.
