Sarawak Governor Visits The Exchange TRX with Family

KUALA LUMPUR – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, made a visit to The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur on 11 February, accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, and family members.

The Governor was joined by his daughter, Sharifah Nong-Jasima, her husband, Encik Muhammad Nur Hakeem, and Sharifah Nuril Barieyah.

The family’s itinerary included a stop at the Apple Store, where the governor replaced his laptop and mobile phone following persistent technical issues.

The malfunctioning laptop had first encountered problems while in Kuching, and the difficulties continued during subsequent engagements.

Meanwhile, the governor’s iPhone 13, which had been used extensively during official duties in Kuching, Lumut, and Kuala Lumpur, also suffered damage. Despite its sentimental value, the device was replaced to ensure uninterrupted communication and efficiency in carrying out official responsibilities.

The Exchange TRX, a landmark development in Kuala Lumpur, has become a hub for retail, dining, and lifestyle experiences.

The Apple Store, which opened in 2023, is the first of its kind in Malaysia and has attracted significant attention as a symbol of the country’s growing digital economy.

The Governor’s visit highlighted the importance of reliable technology in supporting leadership duties and official engagements.

After completing the purchases, the governor and his family took time to relax at Kenny Hills Bakers Café, enjoying afternoon tea and light refreshments.

The café, known for its artisanal pastries and warm atmosphere, provided a fitting conclusion to the short visit.

Reflecting on the outing, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi expressed appreciation for the smooth experience, noting that the visit was both meaningful and enjoyable. His remarks underscored the value of balancing official commitments with moments of family togetherness.

The Exchange TRX continues to be a prominent destination for both locals and visitors, offering a blend of international retail brands and Malaysian hospitality.

The Governor’s presence at the venue added to its growing reputation as a meeting point for distinguished figures and everyday shoppers alike.

This visit also emphasised the role of technology in modern governance, where dependable devices are essential for communication, documentation, and coordination.

For leaders such as the Sarawak Governor, ensuring that tools remain functional is not merely a matter of convenience but a necessity for effective administration.
