JPJ Sarawak Inspects Driver Theory Test Centre in Bintulu

BINTULU – The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) carried out an inspection at the Computer-Based Theory Test Centre for the Driver Education Curriculum (KPP Test Centre) operated by Budiman Driving Academy Sdn Bhd in Bintulu on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

The inspection was led by YBrs. Tuan Yusniman bin Mohammad, Head of the Driver Licensing Division, JPJ Sarawak. He was accompanied by Tuan Haji Nezriman bin Uthman, Tuan Khairul Anuar bin Pangah @ Paat, and several officers from the division.

The purpose of the visit was to ensure that all facilities, infrastructure, and systems at the centre comply with the specifications and guidelines established by the Malaysian Road Transport Department.

Officials emphasised that readiness and compliance are essential to guarantee the smooth and transparent implementation of the computerised theory test.

Key areas of focus during the inspection included the condition of the test room infrastructure, the specifications and functionality of computer equipment, the stability of the network system, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the integrity of security controls. These elements are critical to maintaining fairness and reliability in the testing process.

JPJ Sarawak highlighted that the inspection forms part of its broader commitment to digitalisation and modernisation of services.

By ensuring that test centres meet the required standards, the department aims to uphold transparency and integrity in driver education while supporting the state’s road safety agenda.

The department has consistently stressed the importance of aligning operational practices with national standards.

Regular inspections are seen as vital to maintaining public confidence in JPJ’s licensing system and ensuring that aspiring drivers are assessed under fair and secure conditions.

JPJ Sarawak reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening governance and service delivery, noting that the digitalisation of driver education services is intended to improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.

The inspection at Budiman Driving Academy reflects this ongoing effort to modernise processes while safeguarding the integrity of road safety education.
