The project, funded under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) allocation for the N67 Jepak constituency, aims to strengthen the riverbank, reduce erosion risks, and safeguard the village area and residents’ safety.

During the site visit, several other sections of the riverbank were also inspected for potential installation of new gabion walls and improvements to existing structures. These measures are intended to ensure long-term protection and resilience against erosion.

Assemblyman Iskandar Turkee expressed appreciation to DID and all parties involved, noting that the project reflects continuous efforts to improve rural infrastructure and facilities.

He emphasised that such initiatives are vital in preserving village areas and ensuring the well-being of residents.

Community members welcomed the development, highlighting that the strengthened riverbank will provide greater security and stability for Kampung Sebuan Besar.
