The presentation took place at the hall of Al Amin Mosque. The ceremony was officiated by Noriha Ali, accompanied by Penghulu Haliza and members of the LAKIB committee.

The programme formed part of LAKIB’s wider Donation Ceremony covering mosques, suraus, education, and Hari Raya assistance.

A spokesperson from LAKIB said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to strengthening community welfare, particularly in helping those in need prepare for the upcoming festive celebration.

The programme also aimed to strengthen solidarity among residents. By providing support to both families and community institutions, LAKIB hopes to build a stronger sense of shared responsibility across the Bintulu district.

Community leaders present during the event stressed the value of such initiatives in ensuring no one feels left out during festive periods.

Beyond helping families, the aid also contributes to maintaining religious and educational facilities, which remain central to village life.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the end of Ramadan and stands as a time of giving and togetherness for Muslims worldwide.

Across Sarawak, community organisations often work alongside local leaders to ensure vulnerable groups receive support during the celebration.

The Kuala Tatau distribution reflects a wider pattern of welfare programmes across the state, where community groups and government-linked organisations continue efforts to assist rural communities.

As preparations for Hari Raya continue, the assistance provided by LAKIB is expected to ease the burden on many families, allowing them to celebrate the occasion with dignity and joy.
