IMH Raya Musical Performance at Vivacity Mall Brings Communities Together

IMH Raya Musical Performance at Vivacity Mall Brings Communities Together

KUCHING — The festive spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri was celebrated through music and unity as students and teachers from the International Music House (IMH) presented a lively Raya musical performance at Vivacity Megamall.

The performance, held from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on 14th March, gathered families, shoppers and music enthusiasts who stopped by to enjoy familiar Hari Raya tunes performed by young musicians. The event aimed to spread festive joy while promoting friendship and cultural harmony among people from different backgrounds.

Students from IMH had spent weeks preparing for the special Raya-themed showcase. According to music teacher and master of ceremony Mdm Florida, the students had put in tremendous effort to ensure the performance would be memorable for the audience.

“Our students have been working incredibly hard, and we are very excited to share this Raya musical performance with everyone,” she said. “We hope the music will bring people together and allow them to experience the warmth and happiness of the Raya season.”

The performance featured a variety of popular Raya melodies that resonated with the festive mood of the season. Visitors at the mall were seen gathering around the performance area, clapping along and capturing the joyful moments on their mobile phones.

One of the highlights of the event was the multicultural participation among students and staff. The performers came from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting Malaysia’s rich diversity and strong spirit of unity during festive celebrations.

Behind the scenes, teachers, staff members and logistics workers worked tirelessly to ensure the programme ran smoothly. Some team members reportedly stayed overnight at the mall to complete preparations, including sound arrangements, stage setup and rehearsal coordination.

IMH management, led by its supportive leader Mdm Grace Law, was also praised for encouraging students to showcase their talents in a public setting. The initiative not only allowed young musicians to gain performance experience but also created a platform for the community to appreciate music during the festive period.

Shoppers and families who attended the event welcomed the musical showcase, describing it as a refreshing way to celebrate Hari Raya through art and cultural exchange.

As the performance concluded, the organisers expressed hope that such events could continue to bring communities closer together through music, friendship and shared celebration during Malaysia’s festive seasons.
