Zaizam Releases “Mimpi Tanpa Arah” on Digital Platforms
KUCHING – A new voice from Kuching is making his mark in the local music scene with the release of his latest single, “Mimpi Tanpa Arah”. The song, performed under the stage name Zaizam, was officially released on 20 March 2026 and is now available on all major digital streaming platforms.
Zaizam, whose full name is Mumaini Afzainizam, is a Sarawak-born composer and singer determined to share meaningful music with a wider audience. Through this latest single, he delivers a strong message about ambition, choices and the consequences of chasing success the wrong way.
“Mimpi Tanpa Arah”, which translates to “Dream Without Direction”, tells the story of a person with big dreams but who loses his way after choosing easy shortcuts. The song highlights the inner struggle between the desire for quick success and the painful realisation that not every shortcut leads to the right destination. It reflects on mistakes, regret and the effort required to rebuild one’s life after falling.
Musically, the track blends energetic alternative and punk rock elements with softer and thoughtful lyrics. The contrast between strong instrumentals and reflective storytelling gives the song emotional depth. For the music arrangement, Zaizam worked with Studio Siligaro Project in Indonesia, owned by his associate Anugerah Akbar. Meanwhile, vocal recording, mixing and mastering were handled by Studio PSE Recording in Kuching, Sarawak, with the involvement of Raynold. The collaboration demonstrates how independent artists today are able to connect regionally to produce quality work while maintaining strong local roots.
In this project, Zaizam took on the dual role of composer and singer, ensuring that the message of the song remained authentic to his own life experience and artistic vision.
