The incident was reported by a member of the public who discovered the nest on a mango tree behind their home.

Concerned about the potential danger posed to residents, the complainant requested assistance from APM Sebauh to safely remove the nest.

Upon receiving the call, APM Sebauh deployed personnel to the site to carry out the operation. The team successfully destroyed the nest, ensuring the safety of the household and surrounding community.

Officials highlighted that wasp nests can pose serious risks, particularly when located near residential areas.

The public can contact the Civil Defence Force through the national emergency number 999 or directly via 019-2178746 and 086-422634, which are available 24 hours a day.

In addition to emergency response, APM Sebauh actively engages with the community through social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook, where updates on operations and safety tips are regularly shared.

This outreach aims to strengthen public awareness and preparedness for incidents involving wildlife or environmental hazards.

The successful handling of the wasp nest case reflects the Civil Defence Force’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding communities in Sebauh.
