KUCHING – The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ Sarawak) convened its 2026 Licence Programme Meeting at the Kenyalang Meeting Room, Sarawak State RTD Complex, on Tuesday.
The session was chaired by YBrs Tuan Yusniman Mohamad, Head of the Driver Licensing Division.
The meeting focused on planning and implementing the licensing programme for the year, with an emphasis on strengthening service delivery and ensuring that the driver licensing system remains efficient, transparent, and conducted with integrity.
Senior officers from the Driver Licensing Division attended the meeting in person, while heads of division units from branches across Sarawak joined online.
This hybrid format was adopted to ensure comprehensive coordination and effective communication across all divisions.
JPJ Sarawak reaffirmed its commitment to improving service quality in line with the state’s digitalisation agenda.
The department highlighted that continuous improvement in licensing services is essential to meet public expectations and to maintain trust in the system.
Officials noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to review current processes, identify challenges, and discuss strategies for enhancing efficiency.
The discussions also underscored the importance of adapting to technological advancements to streamline licensing procedures and improve customer experience.
The department’s efforts are part of a broader initiative to modernise public service delivery in Sarawak, ensuring that services remain accessible and reliable for all residents.
