Sarawak Governor Records Gawai Dayak 2026 Message

KUCHING – Preparations for the upcoming Gawai Dayak 2026 celebration took a significant step forward today as His Excellency, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, recorded a special message at the Sarawak Astana.

The session was held at 10.00 am on 4 May, marking the state’s commitment to honouring one of Sarawak’s most important cultural festivities.

The arrival of the Governor and his wife was warmly received by Tuan Haji Junih Salleh, Private Secretary to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, alongside senior officers from the Astana.

Their presence underscored the ceremonial importance of the recording, which is intended to reach communities across Sarawak during the festive season.

The recording was facilitated by the Sarawak Media Group (TVS) in partnership with the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).
