The scope of work included the construction of four new toilets, divided equally between male and female facilities, as well as the installation of additional handwashing stations.

Roof expansion works were carried out to provide better shelter, while more than 300 square feet of floor tiling was laid to enhance the interior. A new perimeter fence was also built to strengthen safety and comfort for the church community.

Mayor Yii highlighted that houses of worship serve not only as religious centres but also as important platforms for fostering community unity.

He stressed that facilities such as schools, community halls, and places of worship play a vital role in social development and therefore require continuous attention and support.

He reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure that benefits the wider community, noting that such projects contribute to both social well-being and civic pride.

The upgrading of St Anthony Church reflects broader efforts to ensure that public facilities are accessible, safe, and conducive for gatherings.
