Civil Servant Protocol and Etiquette Workshop Was Conducted

KUCHING – A Civil Servant Protocol and Etiquette Workshop was successfully held today at the Sultan Iskandar Building, organised by the Sarawak Federal Secretary’s Office (PSUPS) in collaboration with the Aminuddin Baki Institute Sarawak Branch.

The workshop, conducted on 18 May 2026, took place at the 17th-floor auditorium and was led by Dr Suffian bin Haji Jalet, Chief Executive Officer of the Sarawak Art Council.

Dr Suffian, who has extensive expertise in protocol management, social etiquette, and civil service professionalism, guided participants through a comprehensive programme designed to enhance their knowledge and skills in official conduct.

The primary aim of the workshop was to strengthen participants’ understanding of proper protocol and etiquette practices, particularly in the context of official ceremonies and daily public service responsibilities.

Attendees were introduced to a wide range of topics, including professional communication, prioritisation in official duties, procedures for managing formal events, social etiquette, and personal presentation.
