SARATOK – A motorcycle accident occurring on a local village road prompted an emergency response from the Saratok District Civil Defence Force (APM) on Friday.
The incident, which took place along Jalan Kampung Bunga Raya, resulted in injuries to two individuals who required immediate medical attention.
The emergency was brought to the attention of the authorities after a distress call was placed to the regional operations centre.
In response to the report of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, a three-person team from the APM’s Alpha Squad was dispatched to the scene to facilitate rescue and medical aid.
Upon their arrival at the crash site, the responders discovered two victims who had been involved in the mishap.
The rescue personnel immediately prioritised assessing the physical condition of both individuals and securing the immediate area to prevent any further traffic hazards.
First aid was administered on-site by the duty members, who worked to stabilise the injuries of the victims before they could be safely moved.
These initial interventions are critical in road accidents to manage trauma and ensure that patients are in a suitable condition for transport to a clinical environment.
Following the on-site treatment, the injured parties were evacuated from the scene. They were subsequently transported to the Saratok Hospital for more comprehensive examinations and professional medical care by the facility’s trauma department.
The operation was conducted swiftly to ensure the victims received the necessary healthcare within the “golden hour” following the accident.
While the specific cause of the crash has not been detailed, the APM members remained on-site until the situation was fully resolved and the roadway was deemed safe for other users.
