KUALA LUMPUR – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, attended a family dinner in the capital on Tuesday evening.
The gathering took place at Silk Road 1409 Restaurant in Setapak, a venue known for its Chinese-Muslim cuisine.
The couple was warmly received by the restaurant’s manager, Mr Jimmy Lee, before joining relatives for the private occasion.
The dinner brought together several generations of family members, reflecting the governor’s emphasis on unity and togetherness.
Among those present were the governor’s daughter, Puan Hajah Sharifah Fariah, and Puan Hajah Sharifah Nong-Jasima, accompanied by her husband, Tuan Haji Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop.
Also attending were Puan Sharifah Nuril Barieyah with her husband, Mr David James Foley, their daughter Feona Elsie Norjannah Foley, and great-granddaughter Puan Hajah Jasnah binti Obeng.
Toh Puan’s family members were also in attendance, including her mother, Puan Mahani binti Haji Aman, and eldest brother, Encik Mohd Faizul Azhar.
Other relatives present included Tuan Haji Wan Mahdi bin Wan Mohbar, cousin of the governor, as well as nephews Tuan Haji Syed Hamiduamrullah bin Syed Ariffin and Encik Zahir Kelvin Ong Abdullah. The evening was marked by a spirit of gratitude and reflection.
