KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, made a stop at Kuching International Airport on 14 June following their return from an official visit to Betong Division.
The visit to the airport was to send off their daughter, Sharifah Nuril, her husband David James Forley, and granddaughter Feona Elsie Norjannah Forley, who departed for Kuala Lumpur.
It is understood that Sharifah Nuril and her family had been in Kuching for several days to settle matters with the Sarawak Immigration Department.
Also present during the send-off were other family members, including Hajjah Sharifah Fariah, Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima, her husband Haji Mohd Hakeem, and Tasneem.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the family to spend time together, sharing a meal and conversation before the departure.
The Governor and Toh Puan offered prayers for their daughter and her family, wishing them good health, ease in their affairs, safe travels, and continued blessings under the protection of Allah SWT.
The moment at Kuching International Airport reflected the governor’s close family ties and the importance placed on togetherness, even amidst official duties.
It also highlighted the balance between public responsibilities and personal commitments, showing the human side of Sarawak’s leadership.
