KUCHING – Law enforcement officers in the Padawan district have successfully apprehended two individuals following a reported incident of attempted burglary at a residential property.
The arrests were executed on Sunday afternoon, bringing a swift resolution to an event that had unfolded during the early hours of the same day in the Batu Kawa RPR neighbourhood.
Authorities have confirmed that both suspects are currently being held in custody to assist with ongoing investigations into the matter.
The sequence of events began at approximately 3.20 am when the homeowner returned to his residence. Upon arrival, he discovered two men loitering suspiciously outside his premises.
Rather than retreating, the resident took decisive action and physically confronted one of the intruders. A brief struggle ensued between the homeowner and the suspect before both individuals managed to break free and flee the scene.
Despite escaping initially, their actions had already alerted the victim, who promptly reported the occurrence to the authorities.
