KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, dedicated part of their weekend to family time in Kuching.
The couple chose to spend the day at the Secret Recipe Restaurant in Satok, accompanied by their daughter Hajah Sharifah Fariah, Hajah Sharifah Nong Jasima and her husband Haji Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, as well as their granddaughter Puteri Athena Maimunah.
During their visit, the Governor and his wife took the opportunity to greet other customers at the restaurant, reflecting their approachable nature and willingness to connect with members of the public outside of formal events.
Before returning home, the family made a stop at the Bata shoe outlet, where the Governor and Toh Puan purchased shoes for everyday use. The visit highlighted their preference for practical choices while enjoying simple family activities.
Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan expressed appreciation for the chance to spend meaningful time together despite their demanding schedules. They emphasised the importance of maintaining strong family ties while balancing official responsibilities.
The Governor noted, “We are grateful and honoured to have the opportunity to spend such meaningful time with our family members, thus strengthening family ties despite our busy schedules and commitments to attend various official events.”
