MIRI – A devastating accident occurred on the evening of July 29, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old pedestrian. The fatal collision took place at approximately 8:35 PM on Jalan Emart Tudan, a bustling area known for its commercial activities.
According to ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the District Police Chief, the pedestrian was returning from the commercial area when the tragic incident occurred. The victim was in the midst of crossing the road when a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle struck him.
“The victim was crossing the road when he was hit by a 4WD vehicle, resulting in severe injuries,” ACP Alexson stated in a press release. Despite the immediate response by paramedics from Miri Hospital, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
