APM Sarikei Responds to Road Accident at Jalan Permai-Jalan Bawal Intersection

SARIKEI – The Civil Defence Force in Sarikei responded to a road accident at the Jalan Permai–Jalan Bawal intersection on 20 May 2026, following an emergency call received at 1.26 pm.

The MyASPA-O Delta Squad was dispatched after members of the public reported a female victim lying on the roadside. Upon arrival, personnel carried out an immediate assessment and found that the victim had sustained injuries to her right shoulder and back. Despite the injuries, she was reported to be in stable condition.

The team provided necessary assistance before transporting the victim to Sarikei Hospital for further medical treatment. Their swift response ensured that the injured individual received timely care, reducing the risk of complications.

Authorities emphasised the importance of community cooperation in reporting emergencies, noting that quick action from the public allows rescue teams to respond effectively. The Civil Defence Force continues to highlight its commitment to the principles of “Ready, Fast, and Integrity,” ensuring that residents receive reliable support during emergencies.
