SELANGAU – The Selangau District Civil Defence Force (APM Selangau) responded to an emergency call on 18 May 2026 after reports of a woman collapsing in the kitchen of a longhouse in Segamang Tamin.
The District Operations Control Centre received the alert from the public early in the morning, prompting the mobilisation of a duty squad to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team, accompanied by police officers and medical personnel, found the 52-year-old victim lying unconscious.
Further examination by staff from the Sekuau Health Clinic confirmed that the woman had passed away at the location. The Civil Defence squad then assisted police in lifting the body into a vehicle for transfer to Sibu Hospital.
The incident underscores the importance of community vigilance and the role of emergency services in providing immediate support during critical situations.
