The operation began at 10.00 pm on 12 June and continued until 3.00 am the following morning. A total of 12 officers and personnel from various divisions participated, focusing on crime prevention patrols, vehicle checks, and monitoring of public areas. Security control was enforced around Bau Town, Jalan Bau/Kuching, Singai, Siniawan and Serikin.

During the operation, 71 vehicles and 97 individuals were inspected. Police issued 21 traffic summonses for offences detected during the checks.

Special patrols were also conducted to prevent vehicle theft and monitor areas vulnerable to crimes such as telecommunications cable theft.

Authorities confirmed that no arrests were made and the overall security situation remained under control.

The operation proceeded smoothly without any untoward incidents, reflecting the effectiveness of the coordinated approach.

Bau District Police emphasised that such integrated operations will continue to be intensified to ensure public safety and maintain order.

The presence of police in the field is intended to reassure the community and deter criminal activity. Residents were urged to obey the law, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activities to the police.

Officers highlighted that community cooperation is vital in supporting crime prevention efforts and safeguarding the well-being of the district.

The operation underscores the principle that police and community are inseparable partners in maintaining safety.

By working together, authorities and residents can ensure that Bau remains a secure and harmonious place to live.
