BINTANGOR – The streets of Bintangor came alive on Christmas Day as the town hosted its annual festive parade, drawing together residents from diverse backgrounds in a vibrant display of unity and celebration.
The event, which featured participation from churches, non-governmental organisations, schools, and local associations, was marked by colourful floats, creative performances, and Christmas-themed costumes.
Music and decorative lights added to the atmosphere, attracting large crowds who gathered along the parade route from early evening to secure the best view.
Meradong State Assemblyman (ADUN) Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing described the parade as more than a seasonal festivity, emphasising its role as a symbol of harmony among the multicultural community of Meradong.
“This annual event has become an important platform in maintaining the unity and harmony of the local community,” he said during the celebration on Sunday.
He extended his appreciation to the organisers, participants, and residents for their continued commitment to fostering peace and cooperation.
