BINTULU – The Civil Defence Force (APM) in Bintulu has distributed emergency food assistance to victims of a squatter house fire that occurred in Sungai Plan, Muzako, Jalan Kidurong, on 8 May 2026.
Ten sets of Starter Food Kits (KMP) were handed out to affected families on Saturday, 9 May, as part of immediate relief efforts to ease the burden faced by those impacted.
The distribution was carried out by APM Bintulu members, who ensured that all victims received support.
The fire incident involved a block of five-door squatter houses and a Perodua Kancil vehicle, which was almost completely destroyed.
A nearby house sustained approximately 10 per cent damage. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported during the incident.
APM Bintulu highlighted that the provision of food kits is part of its wider commitment to community welfare, ensuring that victims of disasters receive timely assistance.
